place where to watch the sunrise straight out of your bed.
place where to watch the sunrise straight out of your bed. Food was great! When all the little village was asleep then you could only hear the sound of the sea.
Far from everything. Private beach means that you have to pay 1500 php per face so that they will take you to a little island, where you can snorkle (which was beautiful!). Transfer to the place is expensive, motorbikes rental as well and the "main road" that google maps shows - well... pretty challanging if you are an unexperienced motorbikedriver. There is not much to do unless you want to stay in bed for the whole day. Powered by solarpanels so that means no hot water and it is hard to charge camera's battary for example. During our 3 night stay our rooms were not cleaned and from early morning till around 11pm there was a big construction noise near by. No spa and bar - just pedi-, manicure and massage. We were not sure, but when felt like that we booked the hotel it had more than 1 star. When the day got closer it had only 1 star - way too expensive for it!!

The resort has been a great place to stay, truly off grid,...
The resort has been a great place to stay, truly off grid, with stunning sunrises and views of the bay. A respite from the nearby Coron town. Waking up here has been a delight with food that deserves awards making us feast like kings and queens. The bungalows are on the large side with picture windows of the bay and plenty of private space. Thank you to all the staff at borac bay for an amazing experience.

What was the highlight of Borac Bay Bungalows Hotel and Resort
although we liked the style of the place, we were very upset. I was far too expensive for what it is
We liked very much the style of „Borac Bay Bungalows and Spa“, the stuff was friendly and it was clean, and I could feel the passion and engagement they give into this, and I wish the place could become what it promises. We enjoyed very much the boattrip with the local kids. We had a very good time and became friends. We paid 3000 for the trip and the lunch was extraordinary.
But: the description in general is just not true at all. They promise a spa (even in the title of the resort), a lounge, a small beach, a bar and 24hours room service. None of this was there. booking.com told us the price of 13‘200 pesos for three nights. This was already a high price for us, but we thought its gonna be extraordinary...we didn‘t now what costs would be charged extra: 1000 pesos taxes, 2000 pesos service charge. Also the transport from Coron to the place was not included and it costed us 1200 each way. Staying at „Borac Bay Bungalows (and Spa)“ also means, to be forced to eat always at the place because there are no other options. But also this was not included in the price, we paid for each meal 800 pesos. We felt, with every hour of our stay, they pulled more and more money put of our pockets. When we arrived in Borac, we wanted to just pay 2 nights, because we realized quickly that this is not what we expected. The lady in charge said we could stay the third night at the hotel in „Casa Montemar“ and charged us the full price. I asked her if its really the same price and she said yes. Which is just not true: On booking.com we could see later that a night at casa monte mar costs around 1‘500-2000. We paid 6000 (including all those extra and extra costs)for not even having towels in our room or a breakfast.
